‘Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the days to come’.
Oil and mixed media on canvas. I tried to express this amazing and timeless description of a strong woman in oil and elements of collage, some of which are watercolors I painted beforehand and inserted into the painting. The media buzz sometimes pictures ‘desirable’ women as a mix of seductive displays of the cosmetic industry and a feisty warrior who have to deny their femininity to get their part. But, a woman who stands strong, facing today’s challenges with a loving firmness, and impersonating a stronghold to those who rely on her, is an entirely different matter.
